Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida says PS4 "Neo" will not shorten PS4 life cycle
Sony confirmed the existence of the next iteration of the PlayStation 4 console, codenamed Neo. Sony’s official says the most powerful console ever made PlayStation Neo will launch this year that would arrive well ahead of Microsoft's Project Scorpio, which is planned to lunch in 2017. Though, Sony has confirmed PlayStation 4 Neo, but we did not receive yet very many details on the upcoming video games console.
Although, we are not sure about the exact date when Sony will reveal the detailed regarding the PS4 neo , but recently Sony's president, Shuhei Yoshida, has announced that the upcoming video game console, PlayStation Neo will not shorten the life cycle of the PlayStation 4. Shuhei replied in response of a question focused on whether or not the generation was ending quickly due to hardware progressing at a faster rate:
"Well no, PS4 is PS4, you know the new high end PS4 is still PS4, so you know the lifecycle is not going to be shorter.”
PlayStation 4 owners don’t need to worry about the PS4’s cycle being condensed by the arrival of a more powerful version. The upcoming PlayStation 4 Neo console will not force PlayStation 4 owners to abandon anything in support of the new console; it is simply an improved PlayStation 4.
